My bike is in!!!

Today has been pretty emotional...

A friend of mine who was scheduled to have a C-section this week loss her son.  My heart was broken for her and her family and today she posted pictures of herself with her beautiful son and I could not help but have so much emotion come over me.  I can't imagine that kind of loss and heartache.  I wish I could take the loss back and hit rewind.  I am not religious what so ever, but I guess god does have a plan and sometimes things happen and we don't have answers as to why.

Makes me put so many things into perspective.  Life really is too short to dwell on petty stuff and live in hatred and have grudges.

Testing out New Bikes

So I started testing out new bikes today. I am hoping to get one by the end of the month.  The one I want, This one

Is out of stock until MAY.  I really don't want to wait until then since I am on a role and I want to get to my goal weight by MAY.  So we shall see... I will keep looking and plugging away trying to find one.  

In the meantime,  the GYM,  jogging and 30DDS will keep me active. 

Lesson I have learned

Thou shall NEVER ever bake when trying to lose weight. I don't know how many calories I had to add up due to licking the spoon or eating leftover dough.  BUT.... Drumroll

I weighed this morning and I am down 6lbs in just about 2 weeks.  Not to shabby.  I can already tell I have lost inches too.  

Good thing is my girlfriends are all getting on board with working out too now.  Two of my good friends and I are heading to San Diego this weekend for a girls overnighter. Should be a blast!!  We haven't done a girls trip since our annual Palm Spring trip in August.

By the way... I am down 3.5lbs!!! Woot!!!   And... I rode 15 miles today.  My goal in addition to running 10+ miles a week is to ride at least 25-30 miles a week.

Water, water, water...

I have drank so much water the past couple days I feel like I might wash away. About 75oz to be exact. As long as it helps get some weight off, I'm good.

I'm gonna attempt a run at the gym tonight. 3 days post 1/2 marathon. I am still sore a hell, but gotta get some workouts in to meet calorie deficits.

Surf City Half Marathon

I SURVIVED IT!!!!  Blisters like mad and sore as hell with ZERO and I mean ZERO training, I completed it in just over 3 hours.  Not to shabby with no training.  Goal for the next one... 2:45.  OC  Half Marathon baby.  Well there is the Coaster Run and the Color run before then, but they are shorter runs.... I love doing this because its motivating to get me jump started.
